MOOSE JAW CANUCKS
(1935 - 1970)
The Moose Jaw Canucks played in the Southern Saskatchewan Jr Hockey League in 1930's and 1940's before joining the new Western Canada Junior Hockey League in 1948. The league disbanded in 1956 and the Canucks joined the new SJHL. The Canucks then became a charter member of the new rebel CMJHL (today WHL) but in 1968, were part of the rebirth of the SJHL in an effort to compete once again for the Memorial Cup. In 1970, the club folded as they were unable to regain entry into the WCHL as the SJHL league dropped down to Tier II status.
