CHARLOTTETOWN ABBIES

(1976 - Present)

The Charlottetown Abbies started out in the PEI Junior 'A' Hockey League in the 1970's. By the late 1980's, they were being called the 'Abrigs'. In 1991, the PEI League was absorbed by the Metro Valley Junior 'A' Hockey League and renamed the Maritime Junior 'A' Hockey League. By 1995, the team was being called the 'A&S Scrap Metal Abrigs'. By 2000, they were being called the 'APM Abbies'.
