SCHREIBER NORTH STARS

(1972 - 1983)

The Schreiber North Stars joined Thunder Bay Junior 'A' Hockey League in 1972. They were a replacement team after three of the five teams left the league to form their own Can-Am league leaving the old league depleted of teams and talent. In 1973, the North Stars left the league to join a reformed Junior 'B' League. It is unclear what happened to the North Stars after that. The Team reappears in 1982 as part of a new Thunder Bay Junior League. They lasted just the one season before they apparently ceased operations.
