PETROLIA JETS

(1968 - Present)

The Petrolia Jets were a charter member of the new Border Cities Junior 'B' League in 1968. The Jets likely played in the Bluewater Junior 'C' League prior to that as well. The Jets remained in the league in 1970 when it was renamed the Great Lakes Junior 'C' Hockey League. In 1972, the Jets moved up to join the Western Ontario Junior 'B' Hockey League. After a long stint at that level, they returned to the Junior 'C' league in 1984. Once again, in 1989, the Jets moved up to the Junior 'B' league where they remain today.
