CHATHAM MAROONS

(1949 - 1964)

The Chatham Maroons joined the IHL in 1949. At that time, the IHL was a Senior Amateur league. After three seasons, the team left the IHL to join the OHA Senior 'A' in 1952. The OHA Senior 'A' was in steady decline by 1963, and the team left the league to rejoin the IHL along with the Windsor Bulldogs. Both teams ceased operations after one season in the IHL.
