AYLMER, ONTARIO
Alymer is located in Elgin County east of St. Thomas, roughly 10 miles from Lake Erie. They have had a long history in Intermediate/Senior hockey. In the 1950's, the Alymer Trojans represented the town in Intermediate 'B' action. In 1960, Senior hockey was in transition. The Senior 'A' and 'B' loops effectively merged into a new Senior 'A' league. The St. Thomas Royals had intended to join the league but ran into arena troubles. The team relocated to become the Alymer Imperials but were denied membership in the Senior 'A' league. The team rejoined the Tri-County Intermediate 'B' loop.
