PENTICTON VEES

(2004 - Present)

 

The Penticton Panthers of the BCHL changed their name to the Vees in 2004. The name had been popularized in the 1950's with their successful Senior team. While it's a common perception that the name 'Vees' comes from 'Victory' however the name is actually taken from three local varieties of peaches (Vedette, Valiant and Veteran). They remain in the league today.
