General Tire Small Zeigler Series

1987 - 1992

The General Tire slug became the official NHL game puck in 1985 replacing the In Glas Co screened Viceroy pucks. The screening on this new game puck series was done by Trench. Team pucks were issued with both large and small team logos. The small logo series contains several variations including variations on the type of General Tire slug used and the reverse logo can be found issued with two distinct shades of orange. This series of pucks can also be found issued on Czechoslovakian slugs. These are not considered game pucks and may have been made without license after the contract with the NHL ended in 1992. In Glas Co slugs replaced the General Tire slug as the official NHL game puck.
