NESTER RUBBER CRESTED CPHL REVERSE
(1963 - 1965)
The Nestor Johnson Mfg Co. issued the first pucks for the CPHL. They were rubber crested on both sides similar to NHL pucks of that era. This version of puck lasted for just two seasons. They used their own slug which featured a diagonal line on the side instead of the common diamond pattern found on pucks produced by Tyer of that era and commonly found on pucks today. The Des Moines puck is quite unusual since the Oak Leafs were an IHL club that never played in the CPHL.
